Scientific dossier, CV, etc.
The quality of the way in which a job application and the supporting documents are written and presented should not be neglected.
The application acts as an ambassador and knowing how to present yourself in the most favourable light possible is a real advantage when applying for a job, whereas a carelessly composed application will prejudice the applicant.
Generally speaking, to prepare a good application, it is useful to draw inspiration from those of more experienced colleagues, ask them for advice and show them your application in order to obtain suggestions for improvement. Furthermore, if you have the possibility, participating in appointment committees as intermediary staff member (for example) may prove very useful.
This gives you the chance to compare the quality of a series of applications prepared for the same post and to understand the explicit or tacit criteria adopted by committee members to rank the applications in order of preference.
