Siwar Khelifa

Post-Doctoral researcher and lecturer

Biography

Siwar Kehlifa is a Post-Doctoral researcher at the Institute of Economic Research (IRENE) and lecturer at the University of Neuchâtel. Previously, she worked as a teaching and research fellow at the University Lumière Lyon 2 (2021-2022) and at Saint Etienne School of economics (2022-2023). She got her PhD in Economics from University Lumière Lyon 2 in 2022. In 2021, she was a visiting researcher at the University of Sherbrooke in Canada.

Siwar's research focuses on two main topics, human capital development and migration. She particularly worked on how migration can be used as a coping-strategy to hedge against income risk induced by climate variability, and how early-life conditions (air pollution, maternal stress, …) can affect the production of human capital throughout the life cycle.
