Symposium in RNAseq data gathering and analysis - a joint course with CUSO

2-3 November 2015

Course in collaboration with the CUSO Doctoral Program StarOmics and CUSO Doctoral Program in Microbial Sciences

Organiser: Pilar Junier, University of Neuchâtel

Objectives and content

Whole transcriptome shotgun sequencing or RNAseq is a recent technology allowing to conduct expression studies taking advantage of high-throughput sequencing technologies.

During this activity methods for data gathering and analysis will be discussed and hands-on training will be given to the participants for the analysis of RNAseq datasets.

Speaker

  • Patrick S. Chain , Los Alamos National Laboratory, Genome Science JGI, USA
  • Paolo Angelino, Bioinformatics Core Facility University of Lausanne & SIB Swiss Institute of Bioinformatics
