Program (updated 21.5.2013)

Objectives

Biological control is the reduction of pest population by applying natural enemies. Biological control is generally seen as environmentally sound and safe, but with increasing concerns about biodiversity and invasive species, even biological control is more and more scrutinized and subjected to regulations.

During the workshop we will address these issues from the perspective of different interest groups.

The workshop will target graduate students with an interest in applied research. They are expected to actively participate in the dialogue, which will be stimulated in the form of round-table discussions.
