Research interests

I am a primatologist specialized in the behaviour and evolution of non-human primates. I discovered my interest in primates while working at an animal rescue centre in Bolivia, where I lived for two years. While working there I also studied a certificate in Wildlife Management and Conservation.

I finished my master at the University of Girona (Spain) in 2023. My thesis focused on the link between personality and the acoustic communicative behaviour of the Bolivian squirrel monkey (Saimiri boliviensis). My current interest lies in studying the signalling behaviour of different primate species.

I am currently working at the University of Neuchâtel as a research assistant for different projects that are part of the Swiss National Centre of Competence in Research (NCCR) Evolving Language, a nationwide interdisciplinary research consortium.

My tasks consist of collecting data from the Zoo Basel primates through different methods, such as using an eye tracker device or conducting face-to-face experiments, and analysing data from different studies, among others.
