Biographie

Andrea Siviero is Investment Strategist at Ethenea Independent Investors, a non-bank affiliated international investment management company. In his capacity he oversees the firm’s macroeconomic strategy and provides advice to the team of portfolio managers managing a range of multi-assets funds.

From 2014 to 2020 he was Director and Head of the International Monetary Cooperation (IMC) at the Swiss National Bank (SNB). In this capacity, he oversaw the SNB’s bilateral and multilateral monetary cooperation as well as its international policy analysis. Main areas of activity of IMC are the bilateral relationship with other central banks, the coordination of the SNB’s work with the main international financial institutions (IMF, BIS, FSB and OCDE) and the G20 as well as the representation of the SNB in several international fora. Policy analysis focuses primarily on international issues such as the Swiss balance of payment and international capital flows.

Before joining the SNB, Andrea Siviero headed the Financial Market Analysis at the State Secretariat for International Financial Matters (SIF), he was five years senior economist in the Office of the Managing Director at the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Washington and worked for the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO), first as an economist and later as Head of Strategy of the Development Cooperation Directorate.

During his professional career, Andrea Siviero worked in several countries in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, negotiated a number of international agreements, and represented Switzerland in various multilateral fora.
