Until 2020, Alain Schönenberger was adjunct professor at the Institute for Economic Research (IRENE) at the University of Neuchâtel and lecturer at the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Geneva. He has contributed to numerous consulting assignments, expertise, and research projects on economic and public policy topics (e.g. impact studies, regional policy, public finance, forestry economics, energy management). Since 2016, he is co-director of the (Certificate of Advanced Studies, CAS) in Economics and Public Finance (EFP, in French only) and has contributed, in collaboration with the University of Applied Sciences ARC, Neuchâtel, to the establishment of the CAS in Public Management Tools (OMP, 1st edition in 2020-2021, in French only). He still collaborates on the Institute's research expertise and mandates.
