Michael Puntiroli

Senior Researcher and Lecturer in Marketing

Biography

Michael Puntiroli is a senior researcher of marketing at the University of Neuchâtel, Switzerland, and a lecturer of the MSc in Quantitative Methods in Management and of Marketing Analytics & Customer Management. Michael is also an associate researcher for SCCER CREST, which brings together almost all major Swiss research institutions and cooperates closely with partners from industry, public administration, and policy consulting.

Michael’s research combines tools from predictive modelling and empirical methods to solve concrete managerial problems usually centred upon aspects of human psychology. His recent publications focus on interpretation of feedback, communication techniques apt at persuading specific segement groups, selective attention and how increased automation shapes consumer psychology. Previously, Michael obtained his PhD from the University of Geneva (Switzerland), publishing several papers on visual attention and eye movements, and also worked with a research team from the Ludwig-Maximilians University in Munich (Germany) during his PhD.
