Denver Cayetano
Denver Cayetano is an M.Sc. student at the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen studying Forest Science and Forest Ecology with a specialization in Tropical and International Forestry. Under the supervision of Dr. Nathaly Guerrero and Dr. Clara Zemp, he is investigating the effects of landscape structure on multi-taxa diversity and ecosystem functioning in experimental tree islands in an oil-palm landscape (EFForTS-BEE; https://www.uni-goettingen.de/en/412084.html).
He gained a B.Sc. in Natural Resource Management from the University of Belize in 2015. He then worked as Forest Biologist at theUniversity of Belize Environmental Research Institute where he monitored forest carbon dynamics through tree censuses and other intensive monitoring techniques. He is broadly interested in biodiversity conservation, landscape ecology, and forest dynamics especially as it relates to disturbance, regeneration and carbon dynamics in tropical forest ecosystems.
