Research interests

Our laboratory’s investigations cover the sensory ecology, neuroethology and ecophysiology of arthropods .

Current work focuses on:

  • Undertaking research on host finding, feeding and the ecophysiological adaptations of arthropod vectors of disease, such as ticks, mosquitoes, testse flies, sand flies and triatomine bugs.
  • Investigating host plant finding and plant pollination by insects.
  • Applied research to develop technologies and products to control arthropod disease vectors and moth plant pests.
