Carlotta Hübener

 

Carlotta Hübener is a visiting scholar from Humboldt University of Berlin. During the fall semester of 2023/2024, she will be conducting research on the theory of language change at the Institute of English Studies. Her doctoral thesis focuses on the historical evolution of synthetic compounds and similar constructions in German.

Carlotta completed her master’s degree in German linguistics in 2020 at the University of Hamburg. Prior to that, she pursued her bachelor’s degree in German language and literature, as well as mathematics, at the University of Hamburg and Radboud University Nijmegen in the Netherlands.
