Prof. Hans Lambers
A specialist in ecophysiology, Hans Lambers heads the School of Plant Biology at the University of Western Australia in Perth. An expert in plant nutrition, Professor Lambers has worked on subjects as varied as plant development, plant-water interactions, assimilation of minerals and particularly phosphorus. He is an expert on the Australian flora and has worked with different crop plants (wheat, maize and a range of legumes). The Dutch biologist is also first author of the textbook "Plant Physiological Ecology", which has been translated into Chinese and Persian. This textbook describes the mechanisms that influence plant physiological ecology, ranging from ecology to molecular biology, governing the interactions between plants and their environment.
